Trees that walk, dogs that talk
I was amazed to be told that this book has been written by a seven-year old. While not exactly the kind of thing I normally read, I did not have to make allowances in any way. The adventures were really exciting. Leo takes his dog out for a walk and, via his father’s open study door, they enter a strange world full of weird beings and happenings. The question arises from time to time: how will they find their way home. I was as relieved as Leo and Bucky, who could talk by this time, when they finally made it back to his father’s study and home again. “Did you take Bucky for a walk, Leo?” Leo’s mother asks. “I sure did, Mum, I sure did.” is the truthful reply.
Good fun, and would appeal, I should imagine, especially to players of computer games.
